This week I’m tucking in a little surprise post in the middle of my Glossary of Terms for Writing Workshop series. For those of you familiar with workshop instruction, think of it as a mid-workshop interruption!
And, it’s a very important interruption, I’d like to take a moment and celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week!!!
Let me just say, if you are reading this post…YOU ROCK! Maybe you are a student teacher, a first year teacher, a seasoned teacher, a veteran teacher, a homeschool teacher, a retired teacher or tutor. Maybe you are an interventionist, an instructional coach, a TOSA, a principal or district administrator. Maybe you are a parent, a grandparent, or caregiver. Or maybe you are none of the above. Nevertheless, you saw the title of the post or an image that sparked your curiosity and you made your way here, and that means YOU ROCK!
After many years in education, my heart will always be a teacher. This time of year always makes me reminisce, the good times, the happiness and the hopes that comes from teaching children. And so, I wanted to stop for a moment and remind you just how truly inspiring and awesome your role as a teacher is with my favorite inspirational quotes for educators.
